Bulawayo Man Loses $12 000 To Fraudster
A Bulawayo man lost RTGS$12 000 to a fraudster who had promised to supply his shop with goods from South Africa.
The victim deposited the money into the fraudster’s account before the latter disappeared without supplying the goods. Police said in a statement:
A man in Bulawayo has fallen victim to fraud after he received a telephone call from a fraudster only identified as Martin Malanga.
FeedbackThe fraudster using a South African phone number contacted the complainant promising to supply South African products for his shop.
He supplied a bank account for a local where complainant deposited ZW$12 000, 00, and thereafter became evasive and eventually switched off his number.
