Why Do MDC (Lawyers) Defend ZANU PF (Corrupt) Members In Courts? - Concerned Zimbabwean

A social media user has claimed that Zimbabweans are being used by political elites. Posting on microblogging site, Twitter, LynneM slammed MDC leadership, mostly lawyers, who represent ZANU PF members whom they accuse of being corrupt.

The user suggests that MDC members must as a matter of principle stay away from the corrupt members of the ruling party if they are sincere in fighting corruption. LynneM posted:

This post attracted a chain of reactions with all supporting the user. Commenting on the post, another user, Black Wadada, said that ZANU PF and MDC are but one system, a Ponzi scheme, designed for the extortion of the poor general populace. The user added:

We were long sold out my brother. These people sit & plan against us together.

LynneM added saying that if supporters from both parties were to be seen purportedly affiliating with either side, they would be considered sellouts. She gave reference to some members and former members of the opposition MDC who were called names after they were viewed as taking sides with the ruling ZANU PF. The user fumed:

Isu if we affiliate with ZanuPF hanzi mutengesi, @JessieFMajome was being bashed for taking a job ku ZACC hanzi she sold the struggle, Mudzuri was dragged on the road ayenda ku State house kwa #ED, but lawyers represent criminals, LOOTERS LOOTING &RANSACKING our country???

LynneM got backing from another user, Chelle Chips, who expressed shock in the opposition’s modus operandi. Chelle Chips said:

She has a point! How many times has this been raised before? Defies the whole point of being opposition if they are there to rescue those who are facing convictions. Either be a lawyer or be opposition. Can’t be both look at Shadow Ed minister who is she representing?
