Zimbabwe international soccer player, Marvelous Nakamba, is still trying to seal a deal to join English Premiership side Aston Villa.
A few days ago, it had appeared as if a deal had been sealed when the defensive midfielder arrived in Birmingham. However, fresh reports suggest that the Club Brugge midfielder is yet to put pen to paper. Reporting yesterday, Nieuwsblad said:
The midfielder has been illegally absent for a week now, hoping to force a transfer like this.
Aston Villa is interested and, according to the entourage of the player, an agreement would soon be found between the English and Club Brugge, which wants twelve million euros for the Zimbabwean.
Villa is, by the way, the most concrete for him, but there are also other teams in the running. “The chance that Nakamba will ever play in the blue-black shirt is virtually non-existent.
Nakamba was part of the Warriors team that played at the 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations Finals that were played in Egypt. He played only one game against Egypt where he performed well.
He would be sidelined for the rest of the tournament due to injuries. Lack of game time threw off the rail scouts plans to assess the 25-year-old midfielder. Reports suggest that scouts from big European teams, including Seri A Clubs, wanted to see him play.
