We've To Be Very Patient With President Mnangagwa’s Policies - ZANU PF

The youth league national political commissar, Godfrey Tsenengamu has said that the nation needs to be patient with President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s policies which he said are transforming the country.

His remarks come as some quarters of the society are saying that the president has failed to transform the country from its economic woes. They claim that the resuscitation of the industry, health sector, energy sector, and other grounded sectors is proving to be beyond Mnangagwa’s reach.

When the president assumed office in 2017, he promised to tackle the cash crisis and corruption forthwith. To date, the country is still submerged under those challenges with the country ranked amongst those with the highest levels of corruption.

Addressing party supporters in Wedza, Tsenengamu said:

We have to be very patient with President Mnangagwa’s policies because they are taking the country in the right direction. He will not get in shops to control prices but he is doing all his best to make sure everything is in its rightful place.

If Mnangagwa goes around controlling prices, investors will stay away and we will continue to suffer.

We are used to a President who interferes with business, but he is one a person who will not do so. President Mnangagwa will do the right thing but he needs your support for the economy to function.

His remarks were echoed by Wedza South Member of Parliament, Tinoda Machakaire, who also lamented over severe starvation facing his constituency.
