Passengers Claim FastJet Delayed & Or Cancelled Flights, No Communication

Some social media users have claimed that FastJet delayed flights and or cancelled some flights without even communicating with passengers.

One of the social media users, Teldah Mawarire, said that FastJet has not been flying since Friday. She tweeted:

Passengers stuck at OR Tambo told @fastjet does not offer accommodation or any compensation. Told there is no FastJet representative at OR Tambo so no one can answer any questions. Hear FastJet has not been flying since Friday.

Another user, Ultra Mel said that although it would not have been entirely true that since Friday the airline has not been flying, flights were being delayed. Ultra Mel said:

I flew in on Fastjet from Harare today though. Flight was delayed hayo

Prince Mafukidze supported above claims saying:

I flew in on Saturday,the flight was delayed by 4 hours,something is up

FastJet resumed flights between South Africa and Victoria Falls recently. The airline had suspended flights in January following the violent stay away demonstrations that saw many shops burnt down, roads blocked, by angry protesters. The government unleashed security personnel who shot and killed some protesters.
