PICTURES: Inhumane Workers’ Facilities At US$30 Million Tile Factory

Controversial tile-manufacturing company’s employees reportedly work under squalid conditions. Norton MP Temba Mliswa (the factory is located in Norton) posted pictures showing the sorry state of affairs at the factory on social media.

Though the company is not identified by name, Mliswa has clashed with Chinese-owned Sunny YI Feng Tiles. He wrote:

Sights from the US$30 million tile factory. When we say there is a need to upgrade standards, facilities and provide a conducive working environment for the workers the blind minded, full of politics every time, say we are harassing investors. Isn’t this harassment also?

  1. They are Chinese standard toilets. I have been to China and seen that type of toilet a lot there with no doors for privacy.
