PICTURE: Mambo’s Chicken Uses ‘Murombo’ In A Fascinating Way

The name ‘Murombo’ is now popular amongst Zimbabweans following the circulation of an audio recording purported to be of first lady, Auxillia Mnangagwa. In the audio, the lady alleged to be the first lady chides Lieutenant Murombo whom she accuses of spying on her. Murombo is a Shona word which means somebody who is poor. The word ‘Mambo’ means King. Mambo’s Chicken were quick to come up with a fascinating way of advertising their product. The advert reads:

Patafura yaMambo MUROMBO anokwanisawo Kudya. (On Mambo’s table even the poor (Murombo) can eat)
