Warriors winger Khama Billiat looks set to remain at his South African premiership side Kaizer Chiefs for the 2019/20 season.
Recent reports have indicated that Billiat is a transfer target of several clubs from the Maghreb, particularly Zamalek, Al Ahly and Raja Casablanca.
However, speaking to Goal, Kaizer Chiefs Corporate Communications Manager Vina Maphosa said:
With Khama, there have been inquiries, but he has made it clear that he wants to remain at Kaizer Chiefs.
That’s the little we can share with your readers for now. They must understand you’re asking your questions before the facts.
Maphosa revealed that the club will next week reveal its plans for next season. He told Goal:
So, we are only going to reveal our plans for the season and whatever is happening with the players sometime next week.
We will invite the media to the press conference, and you will get to give your readers as much information as possible.
Billiat was given a longer break by the club after playing for the Warriors at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt. He has since returned to the club for pre-season training.
