UPDATE: CAAZ Dismisses "Sewage Gush Out Of RG Mugabe Airport Shop" Report
The Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe has dismissed allegations that sewage gushed out of a shop at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport. This follows the circulation of a video on social media suggesting that sewage had come out of the shop.
Responding to the allegations, CAAZ posted on Twitter saying that it was actually water that was coming out of the shop. The post read:
Let’s set the record straight. The water seen on the videos circulating today was as a result of a fire suspension sprinkler that was triggered. Investigations are currently underway to establish the cause.
FeedbackEarlier, CAAZ officials also dismissed as false allegations that there was no electricity at the airport. This followed the circulation of a photo on social media which the authority said it was from January.
