Econet Announces Plan To Review Data And SMS Prices Tomorrow.

In a secular circulating on WhatsApp and other social media platforms, Econet will review the prices of Data and SMS tomorrow (15 June 2019). It is still not clear if they will review the charges up or down. Of late there has been a call by industry leaders and the government to reduce prices since the government abolished the Multi-Currency system in favour of the mono-currency system.

Data prices were last reviewed in April and one would speculate that Econet plans to hike the charges again. However, the call to reduce prices may have gotten to their ears and they are reviewing their charges down. We have to wait and see.
