There was drama at Bulawayo Town Hall as Acting Mayor, Tinashe Kambarami, served Town Clerk, Christopher Dube with a letter of suspension. In the video below, Dube is heard threatening to kill Kambarami over the letter. Reports suggest that Kambarami cites mismanagement and corruption as the reasons for suspending the town clerk. Other reports, however, suggest that Dube is at the Councillors’ crosshair after he blocked their intrusive activities and overstepping their operational boundaries. The Mayor, Solomon Mguni, is reportedly on leave and the Clerk is refusing to go arguing that only the Mayor, whom he says he is in communication with, can suspend him.
