President of the opposition MDC, advocate Nelson Chamisa has revealed that the whereabouts of party national vice-chairperson, Job Sikhala are unknown. Sikhala was in police custody and was expected to appear before court today over subversion of a constitutionally established government.
Sikhala, over the weekend, remarked that his party would overthrow the government before 2023.
Posting on Twitter, Chamisa said:
Just been informed now that Hon Sikhala is no longer appearing at the Rotten row court.His whereabouts unknown.The lawyers and us all have been kept guessing.This is the old reinvented, definitely with much more vice.This is the old we can’t reform.This old that must go NOW!!!
Information that circulated in the morning, however, revealed that Sikhala’s case was no longer going to be heard in Harare but in Masvingo where he made seemingly coup remarks.
