Mapeza Applauds FC Platinum Players For Job Well Done

FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza applauded his charges for a job well done after a gritty 1-0 victory over Manica Diamonds in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match played at Mandava Stadium in Zvishavane on Saturday.

The only goal of the match was scored by Cameroonian striker Albert Eonde in the first 10 minutes.

Speaking during a post-match media conference, Mapeza said:

Today we did not have the numbers but before the game, I told my players that today is not about our technical abilities. It is about our hearts.

It is indeed a massive result for us, the boys played well. There was coherence between the midfield and defence.

Lameck (Nhamo) worked very hard and I really want to applaud everyone for a job well done.

Manica Diamonds coach Luke Masomere was left disappointed by the result but refused to get into the details. He said:

I am disappointed with the result but there are a number of contributing factors for this loss. I would not want to talk about them today.
