Chipinge Town Council To Hire Resident Traditional Healer For Their Cultural Village

Lured by Sekuru Ndunge’s fame, the Chipinge Town council has decided to formalise and commercialise traffic to traditional healers in their area. The council is building a culture village where a resident traditional healer hired by the council will help people from all over Zimbabwe and the world over seeking traditional healing.

According to the Daily News Thousands of people flock to Chipinge in search of traditional healers all year round. Turns out, Chipinge healers are rumoured to be the finest in Southern Africa.  The council is also seeking for investors according to the council’s secretary Susan Dube. The Daily News Quoted Susan:

We will construct a hut in the village, from which the traditional healer will perform his trade. We are aslo looking for investors to compliment our efforts in setting up the cultural village… Its unfortunate Sekuru ndunge died before we could complete the cultural village we had hoped to work with him on it considering his popularity.

Traditional healing has not yet been accepted by some as some consider it to inspired by dark forces. However traditional healing has always been part of some cultures and the Chipinge town council is embracing that and luring spiritual tourists at the same time.
