WATCH: “Our Country Has Enough Resources & Brains To Develop Itself,” ED On Corruption

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has said that the country has enough resources to push its develop itself but corruption is choking any efforts to resuscitate it.

Officially opening the Tanganda-Ngundu highway, an 85 km road that links Manicaland and Masvingo provinces, Mnangagwa said:

Our country has enough resources and brains to develop itself but we were failing before because of corruption in our government and parastatals. Going forward, we will not be relying on foreign expertise anymore, we will drive our own development.

His remarks come a few days after the ZANU PF youth league released a list of individuals whom it accuses of sabotaging Mnangagwa’s efforts to revive the economy by engaging in underhand dealings. The list featured some top government, business and ZANU PF officials. Watch the video below.

  1. The gold extracts from matobo, bubi, umzingwae, gwanda etc are more than adequate to turn those districts into mini switzerland. Who is benefitting? We need devolution yesterday!
