Eskom Confirms Receiving Payment From ZESA (US$10 Million)
South Africa’s power utility, Eskom said that it had received the much-talked-about US$10 million from the Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (ZESA).
In a statement issued on Tuesday (today), Eskom said:
Tuesday, 02 July 2019: Eskom confirms that the payment made by Zimbabwe is reflecting in its account today.
FeedbackDiscussions will continue with the Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (ZESA) to find a mutually beneficial solution to the outstanding debt.
Eskom is a commercial operation and will be guided by the contracts we have in place with ZESA.

Earlier today, Energy Minister Chasi tweeted that the payment had gone through.
