AFCON: “I'm Not Happy That We Didn’t Win," Knowledge Musona

Warriors Captain, Knowledge Musona has said that he is saddened by drawing 1-1 against the Cranes of Uganda on Wednesday in a 2019 AFCON Group A match. He believes that the Warriors could have won the match within 90 minutes if it were not of bad luck they had on the night.

His remarks come as he has received criticism from soccer fans for missing a golden chance to thrust the Warriors into the lead when he missed a sitter. Musona somehow connected his effort against the crossbar.

Musona who has not been in his good form so far at the tournament told the Chronicle that the Warriors were just unlucky. He lamented:

I am not happy that we didn’t win, honestly, we could have won the game during the 90 minutes, but we were not lucky in front of goal.

We had some chances, clear-cut chances that we could have scored, especially the one that I missed and the one that Evans (Rusike) missed which the goalkeeper took away from the line. But something that we are happy about is that we created more scoring chances than the last game.
