The Zimbabwe Football Association’s (ZIFA) war of words with a legislator, Temba Mliswa has reached another level, with the association threating legal action.
Mliswa has called for the arrest of ZIFA officials on their return from the Africa Cup of Nations on allegations of corruption.
In response to Mliswa on microblogging site Twitter, ZIFA said:
You think this is a joke. You think tarnishing images and reputation of innocent people is child’s play. You will answer. The good thing is you that you declared readiness. We just hope you are indeed ready.
Respectfully we will no longer waste football time sparring with on social media. You will have your day in court.
We are very much aware you have all the time to play on Twitter but soon you shall be answerable to your very reckless, misguided, misleading and fake news.
Start gathering all such evidence to substantiate your wild claims for your day of reckoning is fast approaching. All the best.
