Matutu In Hot Soup Over List Of Corrupt Bigwigs He Released

ZANU PF Youth League secretary and his deputy, in that order, Pupurai Togarepi and Lewis Matutu, are in hot soup over the list of corrupt bigwigs the later released on Monday. Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) governor John Mangudya and Zimbabwe Miners Federation president Henrietta Rushwaya have demanded that they pay them for defamation of character on top of withdrawal of his claims. 

Through his lawyers, Kantor Immerman, Mangudya wrote to the ruling party youth leaders yesterday demanding an apology and damages. Part of the letter read:

We have instructions to demand the immediate retraction of the statements via a public Press conference and public notice, coupled with the publication of a written apology to our client signed by each of the two of you personally and on behalf of the Zanu PF youth league, for injury caused to his reputation by your statements.

He noted that the allegations raised against him were malicious and had no evidence to back them.

Rushwaya demanded a complete withdrawal of the defamatory statements, an apology in writing and that they desist from publishing defamatory statements concerning her.
