In an interview on new internet show, Ruvheneko, Finance and Economic Development Minister, Mthuli Ncube said Zimbabwe needs to create dry ports to leverage its position as a landlocked country. Ncube said locations such as Masvingo, Bulawayo and Makuti would be ideal. He said ideally, people and businesses in neighbouring countries do not have to travel to seaports to retrieve their goods but can just get them at the dry ports where they would be warehoused. He also said importers in Zimbabwe could also use these to import goods without the need to travel to places such as Durban, Maputo and Dar es salam.
