Chamisa Invites Victor Matemadanda To Join The MDC

MDC president, Nelson Chamisa, has urged ZANU PF political commissar, Victor Matemadanda, to forsake his party and join the opposition party.

Chamisa was addressing the media at the party headquarters, Morgan Tsvangirai House, formerly Harvest House.

Chamisa revealed that his party has made changes and appointments in the structures which are yet to included in the party constitution.

One of the changes that will be made is the creation of a Freedom Fighters Council, Chamisa disclosed. He said:

We are going to have key reforms in honouring the liberation struggle fighters like comrade Matemadanda who has a position in the ZANU PF but he does not belong there.

This is going to be a non-partisan council we all want them here and give the respect they deserve because they fought for our liberation.

Chamisa and Matemadanda have been involved in verbal spats on different occasions in the past.

Matemadanda is ZANU PF MP for Gokwe Central and is also the secretary general of the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWA), and Deputy Minister of Defence and War Veterans Affairs.
