Deputy Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister, Energy Mutodi, said that the auctioning of President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s scarf for a “whopping” ZWL$250 000.00 proves his popularity.
Writing on microblogging site Twitter, Mutodi revealed that fuel mogul Kuda Tagwirei outbid another businessman, Tinoda Machakaire for the scarf. Wrote Mutodi:
President ED Mnangagwa’s scarf was yesterday auctioned for a whopping RTGS$250 000.00 at the Warriors fund-raising dinner proving the President’s popularity.
