Tendai Biti Says They'd Rather Negotiate. Protests A Last Resort

MDC Vice President, Tendai Biti has said that they would like to negotiate with Zanu-PF instead of resorting to protests first. He said the MDC is giving Mnangagwa time so that he can initiate talks. he said the country has lost too much blood and there’s need to give talks a chance.

He was speaking in London where he launched a book. Said Biti:

We are giving Mnangagwa time. We are giving him a warning, a notice. Please let us talk because there will come a time when we will no longer be talking. We will be confronting on the streets.

Zimbabwe has been losing blood since 1890. Some would argue and say the country has actually been losing blood since the Rozvi war in 1500. It is a country that has shed too much blood.

Protests called for by the ZCU in January this year, turned violent and a police crackdown resulted in about 17 deaths.
