100 Most Influential Africans, Bottom 60 So Far - The All Africa Report

Beginning this year, The All Africa Report embarked on an exciting project of ranking the 100 most influential Africans. According to the publication:

The Africa Report’s inaugural ranking of the top Africans who control the levers of power across politics, business and the arts: from billionaire barons to unpredictable peacemakers and soft-power superstars

The All Africa Report is an online publication of everything that is happening in Africa, politically, economically and sometimes socially. It covers news for all 54 African countries.

They have compiled a list of the bottom 60 of the 100 Most influential Africans so far. There is only one Zimbabwean Danai Gurira on Number 50 so far. In the next few weeks, they will publish the top 40 Influentials. While it’s still not clear which other Zimbabwean will be on the list, or when will the next 10 be published, we can’t deny the fact that the first Zimbabwean Billionaire Strive Masiyiwa maybe on that list. We will update you as the reports come.

1. 41 to 50

People to note on this list are Danai Gurira and her  Black Panther co-star Lupita Nyongo who is number 42 on the list.

2. 51 to 60

Julius Malema is number 60 on this list. He was outranked by Sauti Sol a Kenyan Musician and Ngugi Wa Thiong’o a famous Kenyan Writer.

3. 61 to 70

This list contains 3 Nigerians, 1 Tanzanian,  1 Rwandese, 2 Ghanaians, 2 Cameroonians and 1 Kenyan. 

4. 71 to 80

The list is again dominated by West and East African Africans except for 1 South African.

5. 81 to 90

On number 81 Is Nigeria ‘s beloved actress Genevieve Nnaji. And Angolian President João Lourenço dilutes the West/Eastern Africa dominance as he sits on number 82.

6. 91 to 100

Caster Semenya, Claire Akamanzi, Bridgette Radebe and Uganda’s Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu (Bobi Wine) concludes the top 100.
