Harare West MP Joana Mamombe has reportedly been arrested and detained at Harare Central Police.
Mamombe was arrested a few months back while she was on Parliament business in Nyanga. She was subsequently charged with treason. Her latest arrest was confirmed by prominent award-winning journalist, Hopewell Chin’ono who wrote:
Harare West MP Joana Mamombe arrested and detained at Harare Central Police. The MDC should not be tempted to react with any action except legal.
This failing government wants exactly that. These arrests of opposition and civil society are further exposing the government for what it is!
