Woman Arrested For Trading Child For 3 Cars
A Zimbabwean woman from Beitbridge was on Wednesday dragged before the magistrate court facing a conspiracy to a murder charge.
The 19-year-old woman, identified as Agness Sheron Teverashe Pedzisai, was not asked to plead before Beitbridge regional magistrate Crispen Mberewere.
She was remanded in custody to June 5 for trial.
Pedzisai allegedly contacted Brian Musekiwa Mungofa, a Zimbabwean based in South Africa sometime in April.
The duo started to communicate through text messages, and Pedzisai offered Mungofa her child who was staying in Chivi.

Mungofa was to kill the child and harvest body parts for ritual purposes. In return, Pedzisai demanded three vehicles, a Nissan Caravan, Honda Fit and Altezza.
Mungofa reported the matter to the ZRP’s Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in Beitbridge, leading to Pedzisai’s arrest.
Investigations established that Pedzisai indeed had a daughter who was staying with her grandmother at Mbavare village in Chivi.
