WATCH: China About To Link The World By Sea

As envisaged in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) concept paper, China seeks to connect the whole world by road and rail so as to enhance trade amongst countries. China has been constructing infrastructure in member countries. It has also created artificial islands in the South China Sea. The initiative is believed to be in contest with the Indo-Japanese Asia-Africa growth Corridor which also targets the same economic, political and strategic goals. As far as investment is concerned in Africa, the combined effort of Japan and India are no match to that of China. The video below presents some inroads China has made into bridging the geographical gap created by the sea.
