Doctors 'Satisfied' With ED's Promise To Meet Their Requests

A group of doctors visited State House on Wednesday at the invitation of First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa where they met President Emmerson Mnangagwa who reportedly promised to fully stock public health institutions with medicines and equipment, as well as look into their welfare.

The doctors’ delegation was led by Dr Faith Muchemwa, who told the media after the meeting that they were very happy with the outcome of the meeting. She said:

She initially invited us so that she could understand what was really going on because she cared about the health of the population.

She arranged for us to meet His Excellency.

It has been a really good meeting and we were listened to.

The meeting follows a demand by the Zimbabwe Hospital Doctors Association (ZHDA) earlier this week that their salaries be in US dollars.
