The Zimbabwe Assemblies of God in Africa (ZAOGA) Forward-in-Faith Ministries commemorated 59 years of existence worldwide, with local congregants in Chinhoyi also joining the celebrations through music, poetry and dance.
ZAOGA was founded by Professor Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti in 1960 and has since spread to other parts of the world.
An elder at the church denomination’s Hunyani district, who attended the celebrations at the International Christian Centre in Chinhoyi, Benjamin Sabata said:
It’s very important for everyone to know how the church started as we go forward we have got new generations coming they should understand how the church started.
FIF has been at the forefront, not only in championing the full gospel of Jesus Christ but has also played a huge role in education, opening schools across the country and a university, the Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University in Bindura.
