Zanu-PF national chairperson Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri has urged Zimbabweans in the diaspora to take a leaf from experiences of jurisdictions hosting them. She said that these experiences must then be used to tackle problems back home.
Addressing Zimbabweans resident in China, who included Zanu-PF’s Far East Asia Chapter (FEAC) district members, Muchinguri remarked:
When you are studying abroad, do not think that you should just come back home and stand in line to get a job. As Government we want you to bring solutions that can develop the country. We want you to bring what you have learnt here so that you can partner with investors and bring projects that can take the country forward.
Our economic challenges present a lot of opportunities for you to take up through tangible ideas.
Muchinguri-Kashiri also said that due to the advancement of China in every aspect of life, including technology, Zimbabweans residing there have the opportunity to learn new solutions to Zimbabwe’s problems.
Her remarks come at a time when Zimbabwe’s economic woes continue unabated. The unemployment rate is also skyrocketing.
