Entrepreneur Kuda Musasiwa On Why He Returned To Zim From The UK

Media, Music & Technology Entrepreneur Kuda Musasiwa, popularly known as Begotten Sun, used Twitter to reveal the reason he left the United Kingdom to return home in 2008. Musasiwa said he was employed as a cleaner at a local hotel in Essex.

He held the job, he said, to ensure his mortgage was paid for and that he took care of his family. In 2008 however, he said he decided to make the choice of “dignity before money”.

Tweeted Musasiwa:

I decided to come back to Zimbabwe in 2008 when I was working as a cleaner & Night Porter at a local 3 star hotel in Essex. I was that cleaner who the MD used to call into his office every night to assist him with his million £ Pound Excels, then send me to make him a cuppa tea.

Asked, “Isn’t it sad that how much you made as a cleaner there was a decent salary compared to some respectable jobs here?” He responded:
