FC Platinum midfielder, Farai Madhanhanga, has gone for trials at South African Premier League club Bidvest Wits.
The duration of the trial period has not been specified but it is understood that he left for South Africa this week.
FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza confirmed that the utility midfielder will miss the clash against Herentals this Saturday. Said Mapeza:
You know as a team we are motivated by wanting to achieve goals and do better than the previous day which is good for the players.
They are now playing to be recognised, some are playing so that they get into the Warriors team for Egypt while some like Madhananga who is not here, is trying luck at Bidvest Wits, which is good for them.
Were Madhanhanga’s trial stint to succeed, he will join the ‘Great Trek’ down South where several Zimbabwean players are now plying their trade.
Admire Dzvukamanja is already at Wits while former teammate, Rodwell Chinyengere left for Baroka in January.
