Two men suspected of being members of a gang that shot, robbed and assaulted residents in Tshabalala and Nkulumane suburbs last weekend have been arrested.

Police in Bulawayo on Monday arrested Christopher Dande, who is now admitted to the United Bulawayo Hospitals after he was bitten by CID dogs while trying to run away in Pumula South.

Ronald Chigwida was also arrested in Bulawayo. Chigwida runs a vending stall in the city’s Cowdray Park suburb.

The gang is suspected to have robbed an 88-year-old man, Tedious Dibula of Nkulumane 12 last Saturday, assaulting him in his home after failing to get money.

The gang allegedly attacked a businessman from Tshabalala, Henry Gumbo, and robbed him of his cash.
