Govt Introduces Command Chicken For Schools

Chicken producer, Irvine’s, has partnered the government in its Command Livestock programme.

The programme is meant to provide students, farmers and surrounding communities with requisite skills to produce chickens for sale in order to raise income.

Irvine’s pledged to supply the first batch of 2 500 chicks, feed and drugs for each demonstration house in all 10 provinces.

The Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) assisted by building the demonstration fowl run.

A handover ceremony of a demonstration fowl run was conducted at Glen View High 1 in Harare recently.
