G40 Buying Weapons, Eddie Cross Claims
Former Bulawayo South MDC Parliamentarian Eddie Cross has claimed that the G40 members who were expelled from Zanu PF are buying weapons to wage war in Zimbabwe.
Cross made the claim in Capetown last Thursday where he was speaking at the Press Club.
Said Cross
(President) Mnangagwa is committed to reform; he has not received sufficient recognition for what he has done. But he has to deal with recalcitrant elements in his party; intelligence sources suggest G40 is buying weapons.
Cross has supported President Mnangagwa and his administration since it took over after the coup in November 2017. He has said that Mnangagwa is working for the progress of the country but is not getting the support he needs.
