Fuel Situation Has Improved In Bulawayo

A survey by the Southern Eye shows that fuel supplies have started to normalise with both diesel and petrol being available at most service stations around Bulawayo.

This improvement comes ahead of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), which started yesterday.

Recently, it was reported that the fuel crisis in Bulawayo and the rest of Matebeleland was worse than any region nationwide. Some motorists had resorted to buying from the black market which is rather expensive.

Speaking to the Southern Eye, motorists expressed their excitement over the improvement of the situtation. Tshova Mubaiwa Association chairperson, Atlas Moyo said the fuel situation was normalising due to the ZITF.

Last week, government said it would provide enough fuel for the smooth running of the ZITF, revealing that it had paid for over 20 million litres to alleviate fuel shortages during the period.
