Woman With Rare Medical Condition Seeks For Financial Assistance

A Mutare woman with badly swollen legs is appealing for financial assistance from well-wishers.

Mollen Rondai (26) has experienced a rare condition for the past 15 years and has not been able to seek specialist treatment for her condition. Speaking to ZBC News about her condition, Rondai said:

My condition started when I was young and I had to drop out of school. I do not know what caused the sickness as I just started swelling.

I need money to go for tests at the hospital so that I know the kind of sickness that I have. My wish is to get better so that I can go back to school or even find a job.

Rondai’s sister, Marintha, said that her sister’s condition started in 2004. She said:

I am Mollen’s sister my name is Maritha Rondai. Mollen has a problem of a swelling body. Her problem started in 2004.

I went with her to the hospital but doctors could not ascertain the illness so we need to go back again.

We need financial assistance because I cannot handle the expenses on my own.
