Two Heroes Of The Liberation Struggle Die

Two Zimbabwean freedom fighters, Prichard Ndlovu and Allen Tshuma have died and have both been awarded Provincial hero status.

Ndlovu, whose liberation war name was Chaka Dlamini died aged 64 on April 20 at his Nkulumane home and will be laid to rest at the Bulawayo Provincial Heroes’ Acre in Nkulumane tomorrow.

Ndlovu joined the liberation war in 1977 in South Africa and went to Botswana before proceeding to Zambia. He survived a left shoulder shot during the war. On the aftermath of war, he was deployed at Zezane Assembly point. He is survived by his wife Mrs Bekezela Ndlovu and nine children.
Allen Tshuma whose liberation name was Jonathan Mlazi passed away on April 19 at Mpilo Central Hospital in Bulawayo and he will be buried at the Nkulumane Provincial Heroes’ Acre tomorrow.
He joined the struggle in 1977 when he went through Botswana to Zambia before he proceeded to Angola for training. Tshuma is survived by his wife Mrs Janet Mlalazi and five children.
