Botswana President Puts 'Trust' In Strive Masiyiwa
Botswana President, Mokgweetsi Masisi, on Tuesday, promised his countrymen that he will bring internet connectivity to every household with the help of Zimbabwean billionaire, Strive Masiyiwa. Writing on Twitter, Masisi said:
We want to bring broadband to every household in Botswana with the help of Mr Strive Masiyiwa and YOU the youth of this country.
He has pledged to train and equip young people with the skills and knowledge to create more jobs.
FeedbackMasiyiwa has bought back Botswana telecoms giant, Mascom by investing US$300 million dollars into the company.
Masisi and Masiyiwa met Botswana youths at Town Hall in Botswana’s capital Gaborone on Tuesday where the latter revealed that he will sell Mascom shares for as little as 100 Pula each.

Mascom was the first telecoms company which Masiyiwa established and the name is short for Masiyiwa Communications.
