NPRC Distances Itself From Chairman's Statement on Missing Gukurahundi Reports
The National Peace and Reconciliation Commission has distanced itself from Justice Nare’s statement that said the government was looking for Dumbutshena and Chihambabwe Commission of Inquiry reports which supposedly were missing.
Responding to Journalist Zenzele, who had said he heard the reports were nowhere to be found on Twitter, The NRPC said:
MATTER OF FACT:
The issue of the Chihambakwe and Dumbutshena Reports was never discussed by the full Commission. It could be that Retired Justice Nare was either misquoted or was speaking in his personal capacity and not on behalf of the NPRC institution if indeed he said it.Feedback— National Peace and Reconciliation Commission(NPRC) (@NPRCZim) April 21, 2019
