The MDC Alliance have adopted a new campaign system according to Newsday. The new systems which will include council debates for the nominated candidates will help the party members to get to know the nominee better before the final vote is conducted.
All nominees for next month’s congress will take part in town hall meetings and council debates in order to let voters make informed choices when they vote at Congress in May.
Party leader Nelson Chamisa said candidates should be presented to party member before the final voting begins. Said Chamisa
“We then go to the next stage, which is caucuses, for campaigning because we are creating a new future. There is going to be town hall meetings at provincial and district levels to present to MDC members the leaders who have been nominated to a particular position,
