The National Peace and Reconciliation Commission Chairman Retired Judge Nare said the government is “still looking for” Dumbutshena and Chihambakwe commission of inquiry reports of the 1981 Entumbane Uprising and the 1983 to 1987 Massacre of the Ndebele people popularly known as Gukurahundi.
Justice Nare said this at the 39th independence Celebration in Gwanda yesterday according to ZimLive.
“It’s unfortunate though that the previous commissions’ reports have been lost. Nonetheless, the government is still looking for the whereabouts of the Dumbutshena and Chihambakwe reports,” Nare was quoted as saying by the Centre for Innovation and Technology.
