Price Of Bread Hiked To $3.50 Per Loaf
Bakeries have suddenly hiked the price fo bread for the second time barely a week after another price increase.
Unlike in the past when the bakeries used to notify consumers of an imminent price increase, this time have ambushed customers.
The official retail price of a loaf of bread was $1.80 a week ago but with effect from Tuesday (today), the price is now $3.50 for a standard loaf.
The hike follows reports that civil servants started to receive the cost of living adjustment on Monday awarded by the government.
