Ivy Kombo Collaborates With Local Artists

Zimbabwean Gospel singer Ivy Kombo collaborated with local artists when she was back in the country a few weeks ago. She has been staying in the United Kingdom for more than a decade now.

She has two collaborations which are going to be part of her upcoming album ” Mwari Vataura.”  Prince Mafukidze another Zimbabwean Gospel singer featured on one of the collaborations with a song entitled “His Mercies Endures Forever.” She did the second collaboration with Tatenda Mahachi and recorded the song ” Ndaiti Ndezvedu.”

Ivy also did another song with Elizabeth Manyowa whom she groomed for many years. The song was released last week and it’s titled “Ndozviudza Ani?”

Manyowa said

When I heard that Ivy is back home I looked for her and presented my idea. She immediately agreed and came to our studio to put her voice on my track. It was a flawless recording and I am happy with the experience.

Prince Mafukidze also stated that he was grateful to work with Kombo and Mahachi mentioned that he was humbled to work with her since she was inspired by her in his musical career.

Kombo said that she was very impressed to be welcomed back home and get a chance to work with local artists after so many years.

Ivy Kombo rose to prominence in the 90s where she released songs such as ” Mufudzi Wangu.” She has worked with many artists including the late Jack Madondo.
