Mawarire Lists ‘A Few’ Questions ZBC Should Ask ED

The Zimbabwe Media review says ZBC’s new head of news Gilbert Nyambabvu is interviewing President Emmerson Mnangagwa this Saturday (today).

Spokesperson of the National Patriotic Front (NPF), Jealousy Mawarire has a list of questions that he hopes Nyambabvu will ask Mnangagwa. Writing on microblogging site Twitter, Mawarire said:

We hope Nyambabvu will ask Mnangagwa whether he knows that unconstitutionally appointing ministers of state and not implementing devolution formed part of the impeachment outline for President Mugabe leading to his unceremonious exit and alibi for the coup.

If Mnangagwa knows he is in contravention of the constitution, is he waiting for impeachment proceedings before he implements the letter and spirit of the constitution on devolution? In light of his failure to implement devolution and tailspinning economy, is he planning to quit?

Nyambabvu, please ask Mnangagwa why his name is always linked to the Midlands gold panning machete gangs who terrorize bonafide small-scale gold miners with impunity in the province.

Ask the fella how far he has gone in prosecuting soldiers who killed civilians on 1 August 2018 and those accused of raping, maiming and killing civilians in Jan 2019 considering the speed with which civilians accused of looting shops in the Jan 2019 were tried.

Please, Nyambabvu ask Mnangagwa why he is scrapping the indigenisation policy especially in the extractive industry where he is alleged to have mining interests?

Why does he also think our diamonds should be cut and polished in Botswana when we sent students to China to train?

I have so many questions including whether Mnangagwa thinks he is the right person for the job he is doing and whether Zanu-PF no longer believes he “lacks probity” in the way he executes his duties but this is Nyambabvu show, he should be directing it. Good luck!
