Government Rejects Resignation Of Partner To CAAZ Boss

Transport and Infrastructural Development Minister Joe Biggie Matiza confirmed the government’s rejection of Ms. Angeline Karonga’s resignation letter.

Matiza said:

Yes, her resignation was turned down until her case which is before the courts is finalised,” he said. “Her resignation letter states that she has served long enough and wants to resign, but it was felt that she should wait for the finalisation of her case.

Karonga, who is on bail, is being charged together with Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe general manager David Chawota. They failed to disclose to the Ministry of Transport a clash of interests when Zimbabwe National Road Administration (ZINARA) contracted Akodac Consultancy Services where they are core registered as directors and shareholders.

The company was contracted to supply road construction material.
