MDC applauds Mat South for leading the way on gender balance
Matabeleland South Province has displayed an understanding of true social democracy by binding themselves to unlegislated gender Justice.
In electing their leadership at a Congress held on Monday, the Province adopted a voluntary Zebra Proportional system.
In this respect, they achieved a gender parity of 50/50 effectively showing the way.
The MDC hopes that other Provinces will also take a leaf but probably the 5th National Congress will be inspired to debate that route, as regeneration, strengthening and transformation of the people’s alternative continue.
