Imire Game Park
Located just 115kms from Harare, Imire is a wildlife haven that may take your breath away. Activities to do include game drives, scenic viewing, fishing, etc. In case you want to spend the night there, accommodation is available as well. The best thing to do should you decide to go to Imire, is to call them and book before you drive all the way to Imire.
Chengeta Safari
This Safari is located about 80kms from Harare, Chengeta Safari is an animal sanctuary that offers, walking safaris, game drives, horse riding, and plenty plus activities for kids. You can do a day trip to Chengeta or you can spend the night and come back the next day its all up to you.
Chinhoyi Caves
Whenever Chinhoyi caves are mentioned most people think the adventure starts and ends at the caves. Unfortunately, this is not true. Picknicking, visiting lions can also be done in Chinhoyi. Chinhoyi is a town 115 km away from Harare where holidaymakers can just enjoy themselves without a care in the world.
Mwanga Safari
The animal sanctuary, as they call themselves is indeed packed with activities that holidaymakers may really enjoy. The activities include Game Drives, Bird Viewing, Canoeing and plenty plus games for kids. Located just 44 Km from Harare, Mwanga Safari is most probably the closest getaway spot from Harare. If you are not in the mood to come back home you can spend the night accommodation is also available and its always good to call first before you visit.
Pasichigare Cultural and Leisure Resort.
Located in Domboshava a township about 50kms out of Harare. Pasichigare is a leisure resort where holidaymakers can view a wide variety of cultural artifacts, get to swim in a river, and enjoy a traditional meal at the restaurant.
Bottom line you can pack yourself in the car, probably pack a lunch and visit any of these 5 options and spend the day enjoying nature and make new memories. Nature, I have heard is soothing. Besides who would say no to breathtaking photos and nice selfies.
