A Chipinge Junior Primary School teacher on Wednesday collapsed and died in the deputy headmaster’s office in bizarre circumstances.

The 63-year-old Eddie Taonezvi was pronounced dead on arrival at Chipinge District Hospital on March 27.

The teacher’s death was confirmed by Manicaland provincial police spokesperson Tavhiringwa Kakohwa who revealed that police were investigating the issue. Said Kakohwa:

It is alleged that on the 27th of March at around 2 pm, Taonezvi left his classroom to visit the deputy head’s office for unknown reasons.

Kakohwa entered David Chinenere’s office around 2 pm on the fateful day where he collapsed shortly afterwards. Chinenere then made a police report, leading to police investigations.
