Warriors defender Tendayi Darikwa says he is excited for the game against Congo Brazzaville set for the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Darikwa plays for English Championship side Nottingham Forest. He is the first player born in England to represent the Zimbabwe national football team.
Speaking to local journalists after his arrival from Nottingham, Darikwa said:
I am really excited, it’s a big game for the country on Sunday.
I am here now and I’ll join the rest of my teammates in camp, rest and train as we get ready for Sunday.
As always, we want to win. We all know that we will still qualify with a draw but this is a home game for us and we want to entertain the fans and, hopefully, score some goals and win.
We will try our best, work hard and, hopefully, that will be enough to help us qualify for the tournament.
